Can’t install CCTV cameras in house without resident’s consent: Calcutta HC

Calcutta High Court ruled that installing CCTV cameras in a co-owned residential property without the resident’s permission is a violation of privacy. The court supported a woman’s right to deactivate the cameras installed by her estranged husband in the Tollygunge property she primarily lived in, ensuring no disturbance occurred.
